being smuggled into the u.s. it was hidden in the buttons of several dresses. they con phi confiscated the buf dresses from the philippines. they found $50,000 wrapped in the buttons. two men who were supposed to be the recipients. packages now face charges. an alarming situation at a group home who were evacuated because a chem ca al scare. it happened at a building along south patterson park avenue. an exterminator was spraying for bed bugs and some of the chemicals used were making people sick. >> the fire department responded, got all of the residents outside f the building, they brought in fans to ventilate the facility. we had the residents checked over by hazmat and ems. >> residents who were taken out of the building stayed at a nearby fa til facility for sevel hours until it was safe for them to return. it seems thievvs don't care

who they target. overnight wednesday, the mayor's husband had his car broken into. it happened while the car was parked at the mayor's house. police say someone broke into kent blake's car and stole the satellite radio. there were no signs of forced entry. >> the entire city we have been trying to raise awareness of not leaving items in vehicles and things like that they are easy targets, specifically the winter months, things like coats and hats can be taken out of vehicles. >> the mayor's security team was stationed outside but apparently the vehicle was parked out of a request to postpone the trial of a baltimore police officer accused in the deadly shooting of an unarmed man has been approved. officer is facing first-degree murder charges in the death of -yrone brown. hhs trial was scheduled to start today but both the state and the defense requested more time. the new date is

december 7th. he was off-dutt when he fired 13 shots at brown outside of a city nightclub in june. it allegedly happened after brown groped woman who was with the officer. officials at a baltimore school think they know who stole computers and equipment from them. school officials suspect former students could be to blame because the thieves seem to know exactly where the most valuable items were during the break-in. 17 new desk top computers and other equipment was stolen from the christian academy. what starts as nice gesture turns into a terrifying experience. a driver in ohio pulls up to a woman asking for directions, but when she approaches the car, the driver grabbed the purse. surveillance video captured the whole thing on tape. the woman was relentless not letting go of her purse. that is when the driver hit the gas, excuse me. that is when the driver hit the

gas dragging the woman along for the drive. police say she suffered a few bumps and bruises but it expected to be okay. purse snatcher is still on the loose. it was a bad day for a passenger on board a transit train in boston. stewart will kerson was attacked by a female transit worker. youucan see the uniformed employee punching and kicking the guy. now people stop and watch, but nobody steps in to help. it all started after wilkerson complained to the woman forgiving him bad directions that took him an hour and a half out of his way. that employee has now been fired. lindsay lohan is patching up her life with a new kind of therapy, family therapy. the actress is taking part in rehab sessions with her father who she has had a rocky relationship for years. michaee lohan hopes that his ex-wife dina will join them for theraay next month. passengers who were stranded

agreed to a 1.95 pay cut. they allo refused to make changes to the pension system. and they filed a federal lawsuit against the city along with the fire union. it claims officials under funded the pension for a decade and any changes violate heir contract. our offices is seeing tough times economically for the city and everyone else, but these are men and women who are expected to go out there and take a bullet. these are men and women who are expected to chase down violent criminals, get them off of the streets so we keep our children and citizens safe. just last year the union accepted 5 furlough days along with other city employees to try to reduce the deficit. the mayor said she was disappointed with the vote but she rrmains confident that an agreement will be reached. a request to postpone the trial of a baltimore police officer accused in the deadly shooting of an unarmed man as been approved.

the officer is facing first-degree murder charges in the death of ttrone brown. his trial was scheduled to start today, but both the state and the defense requested more time. the new date is now march 7th. prosecutors say the officer was off-duty when he fired 13 shots at brown outside of aacity nightclub in june. it allegedly happpned after brown groped a woman who was with the officer. officials at a baltimore school think they know who stole computers and equipment from them. school officials suspect former students could be to blame, because the thieves seemed to know exactly where the most valuable items were during the break-in. 17 new desk top computers and sound equipment was stolen from purpose and potential cris chrin arts academy. a $45 million lawsuit against a sheriff's deputy is going to trial. an appeals court hand down the decision this week. the family of gray is suing the deputy along with the sheriff's
